What to Bring

What to Bring
  • Sunscreen – High SPF, water-resistant.
  • Sunglasses – Polarized if possible, to cut glare and protect your eyes.
  • Hat – A cap or wide-brim hat to protect your face and neck from the sun.
  • Water shoes or sandals – Footwear that can get wet and won’t slip on rocks or in the boat.
  • Comfortable clothing & layers – Mornings can be cool and afternoons warm; bring a light jacket or extra layer.
  • Refillable water bottle – Stay hydrated throughout the day.
  • Snacks – Any personal snacks you like to have on hand.
Montana Fishing License Reminder
  • You must have a valid Montana fishing license for the day of your trip.
  • Please purchase your license before you arrive at the river or boat ramp.
  • Many rivers and boat landings do not have cell service, so you may not be able to buy or pull up your license on-site.
  • Print your license or save a screenshot on your phone so you have it even without service.
