- Hat – A cap or wide-brim hat to protect your face and neck from the sun.
- Water shoes or sandals – Footwear that can get wet and won’t slip on rocks or in the boat.

Montana Fishing License Reminder
- You must have a valid Montana fishing license for the day of your trip.
- Please purchase your license before you arrive at the river or boat ramp.
- Many rivers and boat landings do not have cell service, so you may not be able to buy or pull up your license on-site.
- Print your license or save a screenshot on your phone so you have it even without service.
